Bittersweet last visit to this Firebrand Uptown location on their last day. I'm so happy I saw Alex who is stellar with customer service again and Ember made me the best and last turmeric oatmilk latte. I picked up my kids' favorite pain au lait pull apart bread and my favorite croissant loaf. Their Alameda location is a bit far esp with the tube traffic and upcoming repairs so I hope the owners will reconsider looking for a new location in Oakland. I'll miss the delicious salads with fresh lemon dressing and tuna melt sandwiches, hot chicken sandwiches, and all of the delicious coffee drinks and pastries. But the people really made this place extra special. Wishing the staff here like Alex, Sherry, and Ember, all the best of luck in their future endeavors - sending +++ vibes and thanking you for all the happy memories, warm and delicious food and drinks you provided to the community, as well as the excellent customer service with a smile and a good attitude even during the toughest of times. I can't tell you how much it was appreciated and made a difference! I used to come in with the ladies that did aqua aerobics across the street at the YMCA and you really made this place extra special as a place for us to convene after class to get together for a warm drink/meal and chat. Thanks for all the wonderful memories!

One of my favorite spots for a cookie, croissant, mystery pastry. Amazing coffee. AND THEY ARE CLOSING WITH LIKE THREE DAYS NOTICE. Were you even going to tell us?!

What an incredible array of pastries! Everything on the display looked phenomenal, I ended up trying the brown butter apple pastry and the seasonal pumpkin kouign amann, they were both so yummy! I also tried the sausage and egg croissant which came with potatoes - the sandwich was good but the potatoes were definitely the highlight along with the sauce it came with. The workers are incredibly friendly and kind which made my experience really enjoyable! Only con was that the chai latte was a bit chunky but the taste was good and it was really hot.

Amazing chocolate croissant here! And fun selection of other pastries as well. Had the sourdough baguette as well, and wasn't as impressed compared to the chocolate croissant. Great casual vibe and near lots of other shops and the lake.

Best cheesecake- pumpkin flavored is a must try! Also their set up is cute. It's near good coffee spots

We were in Oakland enjoying the food and vibe Oakland had to offer. After we enjoyed coffee at Crowne Royale Coffee (a couple of blocks away), I headed to Firebrand Artisan Breads. I purchased the Sourdough Batard and the Walnut Wholewheat Artisan bread. I brought the breads home to PDX. Both loaves were wonderful. I enjoyed the loaves with butter and good PDX coffee. Crunchy crust and deliciously soft center. I'm glad I had the privilege of enjoying loaves from Firebrand.

Amazing breakfast spot in Oakland! The egg white sandwich was so delicious, great bacon and avocado quality! The potatoes and sauce were awesome too. So many fresh baked items as well! This is a sweet spot in the morning!

Easy to feel comfortable. Like that they have good seating options inside and upstairs as well. Just a few tables outside the storefront. Ordered Hibiscus iced tea which was well balanced. Many pastry options and chose two oatmeal cranberry cookies. Fresh and yummy. There are is a nice menu of drinks and food. Really like this place and will return as I am in the area from time to time.

This little spot is like a little gem here in Oakland. I have walked past this place at least a 100 times and today is the first time we stopped in and had a taste. My husband and I got a little snack to go along with our teas and it was so delicious! I had the Gruyère pretzel and He had the almond croissant which we both fully enjoyed. The place is really cute inside and lots of locals seem to stop in as regulars. I love that they are greeted as such as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will be back to enjoy lunch next time!
